Programming Grant Available

The local In Motion committee received a $5,000 grant from Saskatchewan In Motion to use towards community programs.

The committee is now accepting applications for funding based on the following conditions:
- the program must commence after September 1 and be completed by March 31, 2008.
- the program must be open to residents of all the communities (with the exception being programming related to a specific school).
- the application must be accompanied with a description of the program, the nature of the request, the number of individuals that will benefit, the amount requested, and a budget including any other funding partners.
- the committee may approve up to 100 percent of the funding.
- approved grants will be paid upon submission of a program and financial report including copies of supporting expenditures.
- capital expenditures are not eligible.

Applications will be assessed in accordance to the following criteria:
- cost of instructors/coaches to provide clinics and workshops to develop local capacity.
- cost and assistance in developing new programming.
- assistance in enhancing an existing program or assisting in putting on a event drawing outside interest and participants.
